Plant Hazard Risk Assessments

Has your plant been assessed by a Competent Assessor?

 The 1995 OH&S Plant Act has made a requirement for all plant operators to have a static risk assesment conducted on all plant and machinery (this includes anyone who owns or uses plant machinery) to ensure that all hazards associated with the use of plant and machinery have been identified and controlled. The 1995 OH&S Plant Act states that this process must be carried out by a ‘competent assessor’, taking into account: environmental factors, operator skills, possible and unusual operating circumstances that may be incoutered in operation, as well as considering the “state of knowledge of the industry”. Finally the employer must ensure effective controls are introduced and maintained". its is the owners respossablity.

The most effective way of complying with this Act is by conducting a risk assessment and putting in place control measures maintenance systems provided by Panther Safety.
